The 21st Century Leadership forum was created to support young leaders that want to be engaged
but are often told that they have to “wait their turn.” This forum will challenge that thinking and begin
the conversation on how young leaders can become better prepared to take leadership roles.
From a political perspective we will present an overview to help young leaders understand the art
and science of running a campaign. As part of this process we will delve into understanding public
policy, how it is formed and connected to politics, the policies and procedures of campaign financing
and how issue based campaigns are devised and mobilized. 

As it relates to general leadership we want to offer a perspective on how leadership can be
inculcated into the hearts and minds of emerging professionals. Moreover, what roles should/could businesses play in moving the region forward and how that is connected to policy development.
